Leede Arena
Edward Leede Arena is a 2,100-seat, multi-purpose arena in Hanover, New Hampshire. It has been home to the men's and women's Dartmouth College Big Green basketball team since its dedication on May 22, 1987. It is located within the John W. Berry Sports Center, which includes Leede Arena; two additional regulation basketball courts; a 4,500-square boxing gym and fencing room; four varsity locker rooms; squash and racquetball courts, and the athletic ticket office. The arena was named in honor Edward Leede, class of 1949, one of the school's leading basketball scorers, and was built to replace the old Alumni Gym, next door to the sports center. It was built on the site of Davis Rink, the original ice hockey arena from 1929 to 1975. Men and women's locker rooms equipped with meeting areas for opposing teams are adjacent to the arena. The Dartmouth College Big Green are the varsity and club athletic teams representing Dartmouth College, an American university located in Hanover, New Hampshire. Dartmouth's teams compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level as a member of the Ivy League conference, as well as in the ECAC Hockey conference. Dartmouth Big Green Men's Basketball
The Dartmouth Big Green men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball program of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. The program is classified in the NCAA Division I and the team competes in the Ivy League. They play their home games at Leede Arena and are coached by David McLaughlin. The Big Green have not had a winning record since going 14–12 in the 1998–99 season. They have not participated in an NCAA Tournament since 1959, the longest active streak in between appearances and the 2nd longest ever. Alumni Gymnasium (Dartmouth College)
Dartmouth College's Alumni Gymnasium, located in Hanover, New Hampshire, in the United States, is the center of Dartmouth College's athletic life and hosts venues for many of Dartmouth's 34 varsity sports. After its completion in 1910, it was considered to be one of the most complete athletic facilities in the Eastern United States. The gymnasium contains two swimming pools, intramural basketball courts, championship basketball courts, two weight rooms, squash courts, 1/13 of a mile jogging track, two saunas, fencing lanes, and a rowing tank for crew training. Alumni Gymnasium was designed by Charles Rich and Fredrick Mathesius. Construction began in 1909 under College President Ernest Fox Nichols.
