Lee Su-jin (director)
Lee Su-jin (born 1977) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. His first feature was the award-winning ''Han Gong-ju'' (2014). Career Lee Su-jin was born in Gimcheon in 1977. He began his filmmaking career directing short films, notably ''Papa'' (2004) which received a Korean Film Archive Award at the 30th Seoul Independent Film Festival, and ''Enemy's Apple'' (2007) which won Best Film in the ''A City of Sadness'' section of the 7th Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival. Lee made his feature film directorial debut with ''Han Gong-ju'', which he also wrote and produced. It premiered at the 18th Busan International Film Festival in 2013, where it received the CGV Movie Collage Award and the Citizen Reviewer's Award. 2019 Berlin International Film Festival
The 69th annual Berlin International Film Festival took place from 7 to 17 February 2019. French actress Juliette Binoche served as the Jury President. Lone Scherfig's drama film '' The Kindness of Strangers'' opened the festival. The Golden Bear was won by Israeli-French drama ''Synonyms'' directed by Nadav Lapid, which also served as the closing film of the festival. The cinematographer or director of photography (sometimes shortened to DP or DOP) is the person responsible for the photographing or recording of a film, television production, music video or other live action piece. Director's Cut Awards
The Director's Cut Awards () is an annual awards ceremony for excellence in film in South Korea. It is presented by the Korea Film Director's Network (KFDN), a group of approximately 300 Korean filmmakers. The KFDN selects winners in the Korean film industry in eight categories: Director, Actor (Male/Female), New Director, New Actor (Male/Female), Producer and Independent Film Director. It was launched in 1998 by film director Lee Hyun-seung with a membership of "young generation" directors in their twenties to forties. The ceremony was temporarily discontinued after 2010 due to "internal issues" within the organization. 2nd Wildflower Film Awards
The 2nd Wildflower Film Awards () is an awards ceremony recognizing the achievements of Korean independent and low-budget films. It was held at the Literature House in Seoul on April 9, 2015. The selection committee was composed of 25 film professionals and regular audience members who met often to view and discuss new releases; their nomination list was further narrowed in the final voting stage by invited critics and programmers. 21 films were nominated across 10 categories from a pool of 60 narrative films and 30 documentaries, each with a budget under () and released theatrically between January 1 and December 31, 2014. The nine categories from the inaugural ceremony were expanded to ten this year. An overall Grand Prize (Daesang) and Best Screenplay were added, Best Director was divided into narrative films and documentaries, and Best New Actor or Actress was divided into two according to gender.
