Lee Jeong-eun () (born 20 October 1988) is a South Korean professional golfer. For scoring purposes, she is called Jeongeun Lee5 to differentiate herself from other Korean LPGA golfers with that name, including the younger Jeongeun Lee6. Lee played on the LPGA of Korea Tour where she won five times between 2009 and 2015. Since 2017, she has played primarily on the LPGA Tour. Her best finish on the LPGA Tour is T-3 at the 2017 ShopRite LPGA Classic. The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is an American organization for female golfers. The organization is headquartered at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida, and is best known for running the LPGA Tour, a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female professional golfers from around the world. A professional golfer is somebody who receives payments or financial rewards in the sport of golf that are directly related to their skill or reputation. A person who earns money by teaching or playing golf is traditionally considered a "golf pro," most of whom are teachers/coaches. The professional golfer status is reserved for people who play, rather than teach, golf for a career. In golf, the distinction between amateurs and professionals is rigorously maintained. An amateur who breaches the rules of amateur status may lose their amateur status. The ShopRite LPGA Classic, known in full for sponsorship reasons as The ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer, is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour in Galloway, New Jersey, near Atlantic City. It took place annually from 1986 through 2006 and returned to the tour schedule in 2010 at the Bay Course at the Dolce Seaview Resort, with a prize fund of $1.75 million.
