Brett Leason
Brett Leason (born April 30, 1999) is a Canadian ice hockey winger with the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected 56th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft after going undrafted the previous two years. Playing career Amateur career Leason played his minor hockey in Calgary, Alberta, for the Calgary Stampeders and the junior Calgary Flames organizations of the Alberta Minor Hockey Association. He was chosen in the third round, 50th overall by the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. He earned a silver medal with Calgary North at the 2015 Alberta Cup. Starting the 2016–17 season, Leason earned a spot with the Americans but could not move up in their roster and was traded the following season to the Prince Albert Raiders for a draft pick. Nick Leason
Nick Leason (born 23 August 1968 in Purley, London) is a British racing driver. Career In 2007, Leason drove in the British Touring Car Championship. Leason had initially planned to compete in the Daniels Motorsport-run Vauxhall Astra Coupe he had raced in the two final rounds of the 2006 season. However, this project was abandoned during pre-season and Leason was instead confirmed as a driver for BTC Racing in a Lexus teamed with Chris Stockton. He did not race at Croft that year and after persistent reliability troubles he decided to abort his full season campaign. Leason achieved a final championship position of 24th. In 2008, Leason announced that he planned to join up with Rick Kerry and Team AFM Racing to race a pair of diesel fuelled BMW 120ds, though the team missed the whole season. Percy Alexander Leason (23 February 1889 – 11 September 1959) was an Australian political cartoonist and artist who was a major figure in the Australian tonalist movement. As a painter and commercial artist his works span two continents. Early life and training Percy Leason was born in the remote wheat farm district in the town of Lillimur just outside Kaniva, Victoria, Australia in 1889. His father was a wheat farmer and his uncle James was proprietor of a saddle shop in Kaniva. His parents had expected he would carry on the family tradition of wheat farming or saddlery making. In his adolescent years he demonstrated an early interest in drawing. His earliest works of 1900 were landscapes, still life studies, and portraits of himself and his mother and father. In 1906 he was apprenticed as a lithographer at Sands and McDougall Lithographers, in Melbourne. His principal achievement was his research on the properties of materials exposed to very high pressures, which he used to derive information on the nature of the Earth's interior. He received the William Bowie Medal of the American Geophysical Union in 1950 for his work. Biography Born on 16 January 1887, Adams grew up in central Illinois, where he received his early education in a one-room school. At the age of fifteen he entered the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, graduating in 1906 with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. After completing his university studies, he worked for the Technology Branch of the United States Geological Survey, first as an industrial chemist and then as a physical chemist.
