Leask ( 2016 population: ) is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Leask No. 464 and Census Division No. 16. This village is southwest of Prince Albert. It is the administrative centre of the Mistawasis First Nation band government and the Rural Municipality of Leask No. 464. History Leask incorporated as a village on September 3, 1912. William Keith Leask
W. Keith Leask (16 April 1857 – 2 May 1925) was a writer and a classics lecturer at the University of Aberdeen. He wrote several biographies and works in classics. Biography Leask was born in the parish of Old Machar in Old Aberdeen on 16 April 1857. He was the son of James Leask who attended King's College, Aberdeen 1844-6 and was an advocate in Aberdeen. His mother was Mary Ann Allan. Leask attended Aberdeen Grammar School and graduated M.A. at the University of Aberdeen in 1877. He then studied at the University of Oxford and graduated first class Class. Mods. at Oxford in 1879 and second class Litt. Hum. in 1881. He was employed by the University of Aberdeen as assistant to W D Geddes, Professor of Greek from 1882 to 1887. He returned to Oxford from 1889 to 1894 but was not offered a permanent post. Rob Leask
Robert Leask (born June 9, 1971) is a Canadian-German ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey defenceman who played primarily in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Born in North York, Ontario, Leask was granted German citizenship in 2004. Playing career Leask was drafted 209th overall in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals. He started his professional career with the Baltimore Skipjacks of the AHL in 1992. As a member of the Johnstown Chiefs, Leask was named to the ECHL All-Star Team in 1994 and 1995. Leask spent the 1995-96 playing for the Canadian National Team. Later in his career, he represented the German National Team, participating in the 2004 and 2006 World Championships and the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin. Michael Alexander Leask (born 29 October 1990) is a Scottish cricketer. He played for Scotland in the 2014 Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament. On 9 May 2014 at Aberdeen, he scored 42 off 16 balls in an ODI against England and was named as the man of the match, despite Scotland losing the game. Ahead of the 2016 season, Leask signed for Somerset. In September 2017, after two seasons with Somerset, it was announced that Leask was to leave the county at the end of the season. He made his first-class debut for Scotland in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup on 1 October 2017. She is Professor of Education at De Montfort University, and was previously Professor of Educational Knowledge Management at the University of Bedfordshire and a professor at Brunel University. Air Vice Marshal Kenneth Malise St. Clair Graeme Leask, (30 October 1896 – 24 April 1974) was a senior officer of the Royal Air Force (RAF). He began his career in the British Army and served with the Royal Flying Corps in the First World War, being credited with eight aerial victories to become a flying ace. He flew over 100 sorties, and survived three forced landings. He attained the rank of captain, and position as flight commander, in No. 84 Squadron. Lieutenant General Sir Henry Lowther Ewart Clark Leask KCB DSO OBE (30 June 1913 – 10 January 2004) was a senior British Army officer who served in World War II and held high command during the 1960s.
