Leandro Lopes Luiz (born January 24, 1984), best known as Leandro Lopes, is a Brazilian pop rock and axé music singer and songwriter. He rose to fame after winning the first season of the reality television show ''Ídolos Brazil''. Biography Leandro Lopes was born on January 24, 1984, in Santíssimo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Adopted at age 15, he played drums in a pop rock band. At 16, he segued to a frontman role and joined a pop rock and heavy metal band. Santíssimo
Santíssimo is a neighborhood in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, near Campo Grande. Most residents are in the low-income group. In the beginning the railroad stations proceeded on this order: Bangu, Senador Camará, Santíssimo, Senador Vasconcelos, and Campo Grande. Santíssimo was prosperous in the epoch that Rio de Janeiro exported oranges to foreign countries. There were small stores near market places where the oranges were beneficials for exportation. Jota Quest
Jota Quest is a Brazilian pop rock band. The band was founded in 1993 in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais as ''J. Quest'', but due to trademark issues with Hanna-Barbera, they renamed themselves ''Jota Quest'' (''jota'' being the Portuguese name for the letter ''j''). The band members include: Rogério Flausino (vocals), Marco Túlio Lara (guitar), Márcio Buzelin (keyboards), PJ (bass) and Paulinho Fonseca (drums). MTV Brasil was a Brazilian over-the-air television network owned by Grupo Abril focused on the youth. Rádio Táxi is a pop rock band from São Paulo, Brazil, who had a string of hit singles in the early/mid 80s. The band was formed in 1981 by guitarist Wander Taffo, drummer Gel Fernandes, bassist Lee Marcucci and singer/keyboardist Willie de Oliveira, all ex-members of Rita Lee's backing band, Tutti Frutti.
