Leandro Bolmaro
Leandro Nicolás Bolmaro (born 11 September 2000) is an Argentine-Italian professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also represents the senior Argentina national team. Early years and youth career Bolmaro began playing the sport of basketball in his home country of Argentina. He started playing with the youth teams of a local club named Almafuerte from Las Varillas town, in Córdoba. On 13 April 2018, he played for the World Team at the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Oregon. Professional career Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca (2017–2018) Bolmaro began his pro career on 16 July 2017, when he was 16 years old, after he signed with Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca of the Liga Nacional de Básquet, the top basketball league in Argentina. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves are an American professional basketball team based in Minneapolis. The Timberwolves compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Western Conference Northwest Division. 2017–18 Liga Nacional De Básquet Season
The 2017–18 Liga Nacional de Básquet season is the 34th season of the top professional basketball league in Argentina. The season started on 20 September 2017 with the Torneo Súper 20, which finished on 18 November 2017. The regular season began on 29 November 2017 and finished on 6 May 2018. Starting this season, the competition format underwent significant changes. Instead of two conferences (North and South), all 20 teams are placed in a single group and play a double round-robin, where the best 16 teams at the end of the season qualify for the championship playoffs, while the two teams with the worst record play in a best-of-five relegation series. The Liga Nacional de Básquet (abbreviated LNB, and literally in English, "National Basketball League"), also commonly referred to as "La Liga de Básquet" ("The Basketball League"), is the top-tier level of the Argentine basketball league system. The Nike Hoop Summit is an international men's basketball all-star game sponsored by Nike, held once a year since 1995, except from 2001–2003, which features the USA Basketball Men's Junior Select Team against a World Select Team of international players. The players demonstrate their skills and hope to attract attention from either NBA scouts or colleges. A number of current NBA players have participated in this event in the past.
