Leandra Overmann, real name ''Jelica Overmann'' (1957 – 20 April 2012) was a Yugoslavian-Serbian opera, song, concert and oratorio singer (mezzo-soprano/alto). Life and career Overmann was born in Belgrade ( Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia). She received her first singing lessons from her mother Đurđevka Čakarević, the former prima donna of the Belgrade Opera. She also took piano lessons. She studied in Detmold and Cologne and at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She made her debut as Rosina in '' The Barber of Seville'' at the Belgrade Opera. From 1977 to 1982 she was a member of the ensemble at Landestheater Detmold. There she sang a repertoire from soprano to alto. ''Cavalleria rusticana'' (; Italian for "rustic chivalry") is an opera in one act by Pietro Mascagni to an Italian libretto by Giovanni Targioni-Tozzetti and Guido Menasci, adapted from an 1880 short story of the same name and subsequent play by Giovanni Verga. Considered one of the classic ''verismo'' operas, it premiered on 17 May 1890 at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome. Ingeborg Hallstein
Ingeborg Hallstein (born 23 May 1936) is a German coloratura soprano, known for the purity and range of her voice. She had an international career as a guest singer on the opera houses of Europe and was a member of the Bavarian State Opera from 1961 to 1973. Her signature roles were the Queen of the Night in Mozart's ''Die Zauberflöte'' and Zerbinetta in ''Ariadne auf Naxos'' by Richard Strauss. She created roles including Scolatella in Henze's ''König Hirsch''. The Hochschule für Musik Würzburg (University of Music Würzburg) was founded in 1797 by Franz Joseph Fröhlich as Collegium musicum academicum (Academic college of music). The Staatstheater Stuttgart (Stuttgart State Theatre) is a theatre with three locations, Oper Stuttgart (Opera Stuttgart), Stuttgarter Ballett (Stuttgart Ballet), and Schauspiel Stuttgart (Stuttgart Drama Theatre), in Stuttgart, Germany. Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi (; 9 or 10 October 1813 – 27 January 1901) was an Italian composer best known for his operas. He was born near Busseto to a provincial family of moderate means, receiving a musical education with the help of a local patron. ''Wozzeck'' () is the first opera by the Austrian composer Alban Berg. It was composed between 1914 and 1922 and first performed in 1925. The opera is based on the drama ''Woyzeck'', which the German playwright Georg Büchner left incomplete at his death. Berg attended the first production in Vienna of Büchner's play on 5 May 1914, and knew at once that he wanted to base an opera on it.
