Leamington Spa
Royal Leamington Spa, commonly known as Leamington Spa or simply Leamington (), is a spa town and civil parish in Warwickshire, England. Originally a small village called Leamington Priors, it grew into a spa town in the 18th century following the popularisation of its water which was reputed to have medicinal qualities. In the 19th century, the town experienced one of the most rapid expansions in England. It is named after the River Leam, which flows through the town. The town contains especially fine ensembles of Regency architecture, particularly in parts of the Parade, Clarendon Square and Lansdowne Circus. In the 2021 census Leamington had a population of 50,923. Leamington is adjoined with the neighbouring towns of Warwick and Whitnash, and the village of Cubbington; together these form a conurbation known as the "Royal Leamington Spa Built-up area" which in 2011 had a population of 95,172. Leamington Hastings
Leamington Hastings is a small village and larger civil parish in Warwickshire, England. The civil parish covers Leamington Hastings itself, plus the nearby hamlets of Broadwell, Hill and Kites Hardwick. Its population in the 2011 census was 440, increasing slightly to 466 at the 2021 census. Village The village is about 7 miles (11 km) south-west of Rugby and west of the A426 road between Rugby and Southam. To the north of the village is the Draycote Water reservoir. Administratively, Leamington Hastings forms part of the Borough of Rugby. Leamington ( ) is a municipality in Essex County, Ontario, Canada. With a population of 27,595 in the Canada 2016 Census, it forms the second largest urban centre in Windsor-Essex County after Windsor, Ontario. It includes Point Pelee National Park, the southernmost point of mainland Canada. Leamington is a town in Millard County, Utah. The population was 217 at the time of the 2000 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km2), all land. History In 1871 settlers of Oak City, Utah built a dam in what is now Leamington. The town itself was settled in 1873 by Thomas Morgan. He was the first branch president when the Leamington Branch of the LDS Church was organized in 1876. In 1880, a log meetinghouse was built and by this time the town had an LDS Ward with Mary Goble Pay as president of the Primary Organization. Bengt Textorius was hired to bring a spur of the railroad down from SLC through Leamington past Lynndyl Junction. His wife, Josephine, talked her sister Anna and her son, Abe, to move from Sweden.
