Leah Marie Rawls
Leah Marie Rawls Atkins (born April 24, 1935) is an American historian and former water skiing champion. She served as Director of the Auburn University Center for the Arts and Humanities. Atkins won the 1953 World water skiing championships in Toronto. After a career in water skiing, she earned a Ph.D. in history from Auburn University in 1974. Atkins was the first woman in the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. The Leah Rawls Atkins Award, Auburn University’s highest award for athletics, is named in her honor. A bracket is either of two tall fore- or back-facing punctuation marks commonly used to isolate a segment of text or data from its surroundings. Water Ski
Water skiing (also waterskiing or water-skiing) is a Surface water sports, surface water sport in which an individual is pulled behind a boat or a Cable skiing, cable ski installation over a body of water, skimming the surface on two skis or one ski. The sport requires sufficient area on a stretch of water, one or two skis, a tow boat with tow rope, two or three people (depending on local boating laws), and a personal flotation device. In addition, the skier must have adequate upper and lower body strength, muscular endurance, and good balance. George Atkins (American Football)
George Arthur Atkins (April 10, 1932 – January 21, 2015) was an American football offensive lineman. After a college football career at Auburn, he played one season with the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). Atkins returned to Auburn as an assistant coach to Ralph Jordan in 1956, coaching in various positions, including offensive line.
