''Lead To Light'' is the second full-length album by American indie rock band Nico Vega. It was released on July 22, 2014 on iTunes. The album was produced by Dan Reynolds ( Imagine Dragons), Tony Hoffer ( Beck, Foster The People, M83), and Tim Edgar (Nico Vega). Media use Track "I Believe (Get Over Yourself)" was performed live on VH1's ''Big Morning Buzz Live'' (episode 47) and '' Guitar Center Sessions'' (episode 81). The track was also featured in the trailer for HBO's Girls (TV series) season 4. Nico Vega's cover version of " Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" was the promotional single for the A&E, History Channel, and Lifetime miniseries '' Bonnie and Clyde: Dead and Alive'' (2013). Nico Vega
Nico Vega was an American indie rock band formed in 2005 in Los Angeles, California, United States. They consist of lead vocalist Aja Volkman, lead guitarist Rich Koehler, and drummer Dan Epand. The group has released two albums ''Nico Vega'' (2009) and ''Lead to Light'' (2014). ''Billboard'' described ''Lead to Light'' as possessing "some of the most unstoppable pop-rock hooks heard all year." After a hiatus announced on June 6, 2016, the band returned nearly two years later on April 6, 2018, when Volkman announced a new single and a return on her Instagram. Aja Volkman (; born March 4, 1980) is an American singer and songwriter, best known as the frontwoman of the indie rock band Nico Vega. She has also released an EP titled ''Egyptian'' as a duo with her former husband Dan Reynolds (of Imagine Dragons) under the moniker Egyptian. Personal life Volkman is the daughter of James Volkman and artist Rogene Manas. She attended South Eugene High School and graduated in the class of 1998 at the age of 18. She married the lead singer of Imagine Dragons, Dan Reynolds, on March 5, 2011. They have three daughters and a son.
