Lea Birringer (born 23 November 1986) is a German classical music, classical violinist. Life and career Lea Birringer's international career began at the age of 14 with her solo debut at the Berliner Philharmonie. Since then, she has been invited to international festivals, like the Salzburg Festival, MDR Musiksommer, Davos Festival, Crescendo Winter Music Festival in Florida, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern the festival Lugano Arte e Cultura, LuganoMusica or the Festival Internacional de Música Alfredo De Saint Malo in Panama. The Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz is a professional classical orchestra, based in Konstanz on Lake Constance. Origin The orchestra was founded in 1932 as the "Theatre and Concert Orchestra" by Hans Rüdinger. After the closure of all German theatres and orchestras in 1944 due to the war, it was re-established in 1945 under the name "Städtisches Or May chester Konstanz". From 1949/1950 to 1958, Richard Treiber was the first music director. Between 1959 and 1965, the orchestra under Heinz Hofmann (once ''Kapellmeister'' in Halle/DDR), the orchestra achieved national importance and in 1962 was given the name "Bodensee-Symphonie-Orchester" (Lake Constance Symphony Orchestra), which was valid until 1988. Igor Levit (russian: link=no, Игорь Левит; born 10 March 1987) is a Russian-German pianist who focuses on the works of Bach, Beethoven, and Liszt. Barbara Bonney (born April 14, 1956) is an American soprano. She is associated with lyric soprano roles in operas by Mozart and Richard Strauss as well as lieder performances. Early life Bonney was born in Montclair, New Jersey. As a child she practised piano and cello. When Bonney was 13 her family moved to Maine, where she became part of the Portland Symphony Youth Orchestra as a cellist. She spent two years at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) studying German and music including voice with Patricia Stedry, and spent her junior year at the University of Salzburg, where she switched from cello to voice. Atar Arad (Hebrew: עתר ארד; born 8 March 1945) is an Israeli American violist, professor of music, essayist and composer. Biography Arad and his brother, architect Ron Arad, were born in Tel Aviv, Israel. Arad began his training on the violin in Tel Aviv and received an Artist Diploma in 1966 from the Samuel Rubin Israeli Academy of Music. In 1968 he was selected for study at Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Waterloo, Belgium, earning a Laureate there in 1971 and a Diplome Superieure from Brussels Conservatory in 1973.
