''Le più belle di… Alexia'' is the first budget compilation album of the singer Alexia, released in 2006 shortly before she left Sony. It is not regarded as an official Alexia hits compilation as it contains both singles and album tracks. Notably, nearly all of Alexia's physically released Italian singles except " Keep On Movin'", " Money Honey", "Summerlovers" and " Come tu mi vuoi (You Need Love)" are included with the album spanning six of Alexia's seven studio albums (''Mad for Music'' excepted) and two compilation albums with all the new tracks featured on '' The Hits'' and '' Da grande'' featured. It was released on 22 June 2006 (Sony Code 711246), a few weeks before Alexia's final single with Sony "Du Du Du" which is not included on this release. Alexia (Italian Singer)
Alexia (born Alessia Aquilani, 19 May 1967) is an Italian singer. Before recording in Italian in the 2000s, she made records in English in the 1990s. Many of those were international hits. Before her solo career, she was the vocalist of Ice MC. In her career, she has sold over 6 million records with ten top 10 singles, four of which were number-ones with numerous international sales certifications. She has performed at the Festivalbar nine times, and four times at the Sanremo Music Festival in which she has earned, besides several music critic awards, three second-placings, and one first-placing in 2003. "Da grande" is first single from Alexia's second hits compilation album '' Da grande'' and was released on CD in 2005 (Sony Code 675758). The CD contained two tracks, with the second track being the international English version of " Dimmi come..."/"Don't You Know", that saw a release in some territories outside Italy in 2002. It was the first Alexia release not to feature her on the cover. The song was performed at the 2005 Sanremo Festival, where it came second in the women's category. Upon its release, the single entered the Italian charts at number 18. The title translates as "From Large", with Alexia singing how her great love will surprise a man, making his dreams come true. "Non lasciarmi mai" is the second single release from the fifth studio album of Italian singer Alexia. The song is about Alexia being pleased to have her lover and the direction her life is going, comparing him as the sun in her life and her fear of being left alone. It was her first official release in Italian but would be re-recorded in English for an international market entitled "Don't You Know". The song came second at the Sanremo festival in 2002 and was the last of her singles to have remixes commissioned as she moved away from dance music. It is her eight single overall and was the first of Alexia's releases after her switch from the Sony Dancepool label to the Epic label. The track was initially released in Italy on maxi CD, 2 track CD and 12" (Sony Code 667562) on the Dancepool label before being released across mainland Europe. A remix release later came out in Italy on 12" (Sony Code 668157) on the Epic label, the first of Alexia's releases on the Sony subsidiary for which all of Alexia's future releases would be issued by.
