Osvaldo Civirani (19 May 1917 - 20 February 2008) was an Italian still photographer, producer, director, cinematographer, screenwriter and author. Until 1963, Civirani worked mainly as still photographer on over two hundred films. From 1963 until 1976, Civirani produced and directed 20 films in such diverse genres as erotic mondo film, peplum, eurospy film, Spaghetti Western, costume drama, comedy, giallo, and exotic erotic drama. As author, he wrote two autobiographical books that were published in 1995 and 2003. Biography 1917-1963: Early life and work as still photographer Civirani was born in Rome as son of a photographer. From 1935 to 1965, Civirani was still photographer on the set of more than two hundred films. Lang Jeffries
Lang Jeffries (June 7, 1930 – February 12, 1987) was a Canadian-American television and film actor. Biography From 1958 to 1960, Jeffries starred as Skip Johnson in the adventure television series ''Rescue 8''. He starred in several American films in the 1960s, including ''Don't Knock the Twist'' (1962). Jeffries starred as Vibio in the foreign film, '' La Rivolta degli schiavi'', or ''The Revolt of the Slaves'', with his wife Rhonda Fleming cast as Fabiola. Jeffries persuaded producers to cast him in the role after he traveled to Rome with his wife and discovered that the leading male role had not been cast. After he and Fleming traveled to Madrid to film, they discovered that the director, Nunzio Malasomma, would not speak to either of them, so Jeffries directed them both. Erna Schürer (born August 18, 1942) is an Italian actress, model and television hostess, sometimes credited as Erna Scheurer or Erna Schuler. Life and career Born in Naples as Emma Costantino, Schürer moved to Milan where began a career as glamour model, posing among others for ''Vogue'' and '' Harper's Bazaar'', and debuted on stage in the Giorgio Strehler's Piccolo Teatro. After some secondary roles, she had her first main role in Alberto Cavallone's ''Le salamandre'', and, thanks to the success of the film, she obtained a contract with Alberto Grimaldi, for whom she starred in numerous genre films between 1969 and 1977. Franco Pesce (11 August 1890 – 6 December 1975) was an Italian actor and cinematographer. Life and career Franco Pesce was born in Naples. He was the son of the actor Ettore. At a young age Pesce studied lyric singing with the intention of becoming an opera singer. At 20 years old he abandoned his studies to enter the cinema industry as a film operator. Pesce moved to Rome with the advent of sound film where he became a cinematographer. Later in his life, beginning in 1940, he started a very productive career as a character actor. In his later years Pesce was mainly active in spaghetti western films. He was often credited under English pseudonyms, usually interpreting roles of petulant, pedantic and intriguing old men.
