''Le dolci zie'' (i.e. "The Sweet Aunts") is a 1975 commedia sexy all'italiana written and directed by Mario Imperoli and starring Pascale Petit, Femi Benussi, and Marisa Merlini. Plot When young Libero loses his parents he is taken in by his disreputable atheist grandfather and the girl who shares his life, previously a prostitute, on their farm. However, the court decides that until he comes of age he must be brought up by his three unmarried aunts, all of impeccable morals, and with the help of a priest and a policeman the three remove him to their home. The eldest sister has long given up hope of finding a husband, but the two younger and prettier ones are excited by the handsome newcomer and in making a great fuss of him arouse his masculinity. One of them gives music lessons and one of her pupils, closer to Libero's age, sets her sights on him. Mario Imperoli
Mario Imperoli (24 June 1931 - 24 December 1977) was an Italian director, producer, screenwriter and journalist. Born in Rome, Imperoli started his career as a journalist for several magazines and newspapers. He entered the cinema industry in 1970, as the screenwriter and producer of the Vittorio De Sisti's giallo ''L'interrogatorio''. He later directed eight films, often characterized by erotic themes. He directed Gloria Guida in her debut film, ''Monika (1974 film), Monika''. Pupo De Luca
Giovanni "Pupo" De Luca (18 December 1924 – 18 December 2006) was an Italian actor and jazz musician. Life and career Born in Milan, after the World War II De Luca started his career in the theaters of his hometown, performing in revues, dialect theatre, and dramas. He had his breakout in the late 1960s, with the role of Fritz in the RAI TV-series ''Nero Wolfe''. In films, he was mainly active as a character actor, except for a number of main roles in a few low budget comedies. De Luca was also well known as a jazz drummer, and his collaborations include Chet Baker, Franco Cerri, Enrico Intra, Bud Shank, and Gianni Basso. "sex comedy Italian style"), also known as commedia scollacciata or commedia erotica all'italiana, is a subgenre of Italian ''commedia all'italiana'' film genre. Piero Regnoli (1921–2001) was an Italian screenwriter and film director. Career Born in 1921, Regnoli worked in the film industry between 1953 and 1991 where he wrote over 110 screenplays and directed 11 films. Regnoli's work ranged from sword-and-sandal films, westerns, horror and sexy comedies. His final film where he was officially credited as a director was ''La principessa sul pisello'' in 1976. Regnoli did uncredited direction on the 1986 melodrama ''Giuro che ti amo'' starring Nino D'Angelo. Marisa Merlini (6 August 1923 – 27 July 2008) was an Italian character actress active in Italy's post-World War II cinema. Merlini appeared in over fifty films during her career, which spanned from World War II to 2005. In Luigi Comencini's 1953 film ''Pane, amore e fantasia'', she portrayed Annarella, a village midwife, who marries the local police marshal, played by Vittorio De Sica.
