LeSean Thomas (born 1975 in South Bronx, New York City) is an American television animation producer, director, animator, comic book artist, writer, character designer, and storyboard artist, based in Meguro, Tokyo. His recent, notable projects include the TV series ''Black Dynamite'' for Adult Swim, ''The Legend of Korra'' for Nickelodeon, Aaron McGruder's ''The Boondocks'' for Sony Pictures Television, '' Children of Ether'' on Crunchyroll, and the Netflix anime original series ''Cannon Busters'' and ''Yasuke''. The South Bronx is an area of the New York City Borough (New York City), borough of the Bronx. The area comprises neighborhoods in the southern part of the Bronx, such as Concourse, Bronx, Concourse, Mott Haven, Bronx, Mott Haven, Melrose, Bronx, Melrose, and Port Morris, Bronx, Port Morris. Aaron Vincent McGruder (born May 29, 1974) is an American writer, cartoonist, and producer best known for creating ''The Boondocks'', a Universal Press Syndicate comic strip and its animated TV series adaptation. Early life and education Aaron McGruder was born in Chicago, Illinois. When Aaron was six years old, his family moved to Columbia, Maryland, after his father accepted a job with the National Transportation Safety Board. McGruder has an older brother. McGruder attended the Jesuit school, Loyola Blakefield, from grades seven to nine. Following two years he left the school and transferred to public high school, Oakland Mills High School and the University of Maryland, from which he graduated with a degree in African American Studies.
