Dionisio Lazzari
Dionisio Lazzari (17 October 1617 – 9 August 1689) was an Italian sculptor and architect. He was born in Naples in 1617, the son of Jacopo Lazzari and Caterina Papini. Jacopo was born in Florence, and his and Dionisio's work shows Tuscan influences. In Dionisio, these are combined with the style of the Neapolitan baroque, as exemplified by Cosimo Fanzago. One of Lazzari's pupils was Arcangelo Guglielmelli. His characteristic work was in marble inlaid with different coloured precious stones, often in abstract designs, though he also produced naturalistic works of vases, flowers and putti. Lani Lazzari is an American entrepreneur and businessperson, who is best known for founding the cosmetics company Simple Sugars, which she did when she was 11 years of age. Early life Lani Lazzari was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Gina Lazzari. and Donald Lazzari. She stated that she suffered from eczema when she was a child. Virgilio Lazzari (20 April 1887 – 4 October 1953) was an Italian operatic bass (voice type), bass who had an active international performance career from 1908 to 1953. He had lengthy associations with the Chicago Civic Opera (1918–1932) and the Metropolitan Opera (1933–1950), and frequently performed at the Salzburg Festival during the 1930s. He appeared as a guest artist with opera houses internationally, including the Royal Opera House, the Teatro Colón, and the Teatro Carlo Felice among others. Lazzari was particularly known for his performances of Archibaldo in ''L'amore dei tre re'' and Leporello in ''Don Giovanni''. Sylvio Lazzari (born Josef Fortunat Silvester Lazzari; 30 December 1857 – 10 June 1944) was a French composer of Austrian and italian origin. Life Born in Bolzano – then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire – , Lazzari came to Paris in 1882 after studying law in Austria. At the Paris Conservatory, he studied under Ernest Guiraud and César Franck. Encouraged by Ernest Chausson and Franck, Lazzari settled permanently in France and obtained French citizenship in 1896. He held several official positions in Paris, including president of the Wagner Society (from 1894) and choirmaster at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Because of dwindling eyesight, he later focused on composition only. Pietro Lazzari (May 15, 1895 – May 1, 1979) was an Italian-American artist and sculptor. He is known for his sculptures, paintings, murals, illustrations and printmaking. Education Pietro Lazzari received his formal education from the Ornamental School of Rome (Master Artist). After the end of the First World War, Lazzari joined the Italian Futurist movement and exhibited with such artists as Giacomo Balla and Gino Severini. He then moved to Paris for several years before returning to Rome where his first solo exhibition was held at the Theatre of the Independents.
