Lazar Spasić
Lazar Spasić ( sr-cyr, Лазар Спасић; born 4 June 1992) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. Playing career As a point guard, Spasić played for Tamiš, Mladost Čačak, Mladost Zaječar, and Rtanj. He retired as a player with Mladost Čačak in 2013. Coaching career In 2013, Spasić started his coaching career as an assistant coach for Mladost Zemun in 2013, under Dragan Nikolić. In May 2016, he was promoted to the head coach for the 2016–17 KLS season at age 24. In summer of 2017, Spasić joined a training camp of the Slovenian national team upon invitation of their head coach Igor Kokoškov. In late 2017, he joined Rtanj as the head coach. On 30 June 2019, Zdravlje hired Spasić as their new head coach. In July 2022, he signed a contract extension with Zdravlje. Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player. Basketball coaching typically encompasses the improvement of individual and team offensive and defensive skills, as well as overall physical conditioning. Coaches also have the responsibility to improve their team by player development, strategy, and in-game management. Coaches also teach and inspire their team to be their best. Coaching is usually performed by a single person, often with the help of one or more assistants. 2016–17 Basketball League Of Serbia
The 2016–17 Basketball League of Serbia season is the 11th season of the Basketball League of Serbia, the highest professional basketball league in Serbia. It is also 73rd national championship played by Serbian clubs inclusive of nation's previous incarnations as Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro. The first half of the season consists of 14 teams and 182–game regular season (26 games for each of the 14 teams) began on October 8, 2016, and ended on April 12, 2017. The second half of the season consists of 4 teams from Adriatic League and the best 4 teams from first half of the season. Playoff starts soon after.
