Alfred Layman
Alfred Richard Layman (24 April 1858 – 8 November 1940) was an English amateur cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper who played in one first-class cricket match for Kent County Cricket Club. Charles Layman
Charles Henry Layman (4 June 1865 – 23 March 1926) was an Australian politician who was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 1904 to 1914, representing the seat of Nelson. Layman was born in Wonnerup (a rural locality near Busselton) to Amelia Harriet (née Curtis) and George Layman. His father was also a member of parliament, as was a cousin, Ernest Locke. Layman attended The High School in Perth, and after leaving worked for the W.A. Timber Company for two years before going into farming. From 1888, he kept a store in Greenbushes, which supplied the nearby tin mine. Layman served on the Greenbushes Road Board from 1898 to 1904, including as chairman for a period.Charles Henry Layman

George Layman
George Layman was born at Wonnerup House in 1838 and resided there until his death on 13 December 1921. His father, George Layman, was fatally speared by a local Wardandi Noongar warrior referred to as Goewar, also spelt as Gayware, Gaywal or Geewar in 1841. Elijah Dawson, Captain John Molloy and two Bussell brothers along with troopers retaliated against the local tribe and massacred many Aboriginal people including women and children. George Layman Jnr, growing up at Wonnerup, was influenced by the Noongar peoples and learnt their language, along with amassing a collection of artefacts from all over Western Australia. Layman was a member of the Western Australian Legislative Council from 1884 until 1888. Florence Wilhelmina Parpart Layman (January 1873 - December 3, 1930), most commonly known by her maiden name of Florence Parpart, was an American inventor known primarily for her patents for an industrial sweeping machine and electrical refrigerator.
