Yana Ihorivna Shvets ( uk, Яна Ігорівна Швець; born 2 April 1989), known by her stage names Eva Bushmina ( uk, Ева Бушмина, 2009—2016) and Layah (stylised in all capital letters, since 2016), is a Ukrainian singer, actress, television presenter and a former member of girl group Nu Virgos. Life and career Early years Yana Shvets was born on 2 April 1989, in Sverdlovsk, Luhansk Oblast. Shvets graduated from Sverdlovsk School No.9. In 2001, she was admitted to the Variety and Circus Academy to the Variety Vocal Department in Kyiv. 2009—2010: Lucky and Fabrika Zvyozd 3 Shvets was the lead singer of the group Lucky, was a backup vocalist for the Ukrainian singer NK and the band Aviator. Sverdlovsk, Luhansk Oblast
Sverdlovsk ( uk, Свердловськ, translit. ''Sverdlovs’k''; russian: Свердловск) is a city in Luhansk Oblast (region) of south-eastern Ukraine on the border with the Russian Federation. Serving as the administrative center of Sverdlovsk Raion (district), the city itself is incorporated as a city of oblast significance, does not belong to the raion, and is located approximately 80 km from the oblast capital, Luhansk. Fabryka Zirok ( uk, Фабрика зірок – ''Star Factory''), is a Ukrainian televised talent show, which began in 2007 that features a group of young male and female candidates, aged 16 or older, across the country. The show became a huge success and a must-watch event for its fans. It is the Ukrainian adaptation of the French television show ''Star Academy'', which is produced by Endemol. ''Fabryka Zirok'' is produced by Dutch company Endemol and Ukrainian Novyi Kanal. The show is based on the Spanish format called Operación Triunfo. The show basically revolves over 16 contestants that go live in an isolated penthouse apartment, with one of the contestants getting eliminated every week.
