Maharashtra Control Of Organised Crime Act
The Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999 (Mah. 30/1999) is a law enacted by the state of Maharashtra in India in 1999 to combat organised crime and terrorism. Known as 'MCOCA', the Act provides the State Government with special powers to tackle these issues, including powers of surveillance, relaxed evidentiary standards and procedural safeguards, and prescribing additional criminal penalties, including the death penalty. Faisal Hashmi is an Indian film director and screenwriter. His first Gujarati feature film, ''Vitamin She'', ran for six weeks housefull into theatres and was a phenomenon at the box office. Later, he wrote and directed Gujarati's very first science fiction feature, ''Short Circuit'', and paved the way for a new genre in Gujarati cinema. Tihar Jail
Tihar Prisons, also called Tihar Jail and Tihar Ashram, is a prison complex in India and the largest complex of prisons in South Asia. Run by Department of Delhi Prisons, Government of Delhi, the prison contains nine central prisons, and is one of the three prison complexes in Delhi.
