Lawrence J. Smith
Lawrence Jack Smith (born April 25, 1941) is an American politician, lawyer, lobbyist, and a former five-term member of the United States House of Representatives from Florida, serving from 1983 to 1993. Biography He attended public schools in East Meadow, New York. He attended New York University in New York City from 1958 to 1961. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1964. He was admitted to the New York bar in 1964 and he commenced practice in New York City. In 1972, he was admitted to the Florida bar, and from 1974 until 1978, he was chairman of the Hollywood (Fl.) Planning and Zoning Board. Political career From 1978 until 1982, he served in the Florida House of Representatives. Lawrence Smith was a delegate to seven Democratic National Conventions from 1980 to 2004. Daniel Miller (born May 30, 1942) is an American politician from the state of Florida. A Republican, he represented the state and its 13th district in the House of Representatives for ten years. Early life and career Miller was born in Highland Park, Michigan, but moved to Florida during his childhood and graduated from Manatee High School in Bradenton, Florida, in 1960. He was an undergraduate at the University of Florida, Gainesville, and received his MBA from Emory University. He then got his Ph.D. and served as a professor at several colleges across the South. Daniel Mica (born February 4, 1944) is an American politician who was a U.S. representative from the state of Florida. Education Daniel Mica attended the University of Florida, but received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1966. Thomas F. Lewis (October 26, 1924 – August 1, 2003) was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from Florida. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lewis attended the St. Edwards School and graduated from Central High School in 1942.
