Alexandre Lavoie
Alexandre Lavoie (born November 17, 1992) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing with Mora IK of the HockeyAllsvenskan (Allsv). Playing career Lavoie started playing in Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2008 to 2011 followed by a season in the same league's Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and one more season in the league's Rimouski Oceanic. He then moved to play on the Allen Americans in the Central Hockey League (CHL) for two seasons including a loan assignment to American Hockey League club, the Oklahoma City Barons. Lavoie was voted Best of the "Best Rookie of the Year" in 2014. After 7 games with the Barons, he returned to the Allen Americans to help capture the Ray Miron Cup. On August 1, 2014, Lavoie opted to move to the ECHL, signing a one-year deal with the Florida Everblades. Kathleen Lavoie
Kathleen Hoey Lavoie (September 28, 1949 – May 23, 2022) was an American microbiologist and explorer who was Professor of Biological Sciences at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Lavoie was a Fellow of the National Speleological Society and the Cave Research Foundation. She was a specialist in biospeleology, and, in particular, the Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. Early life and education Lavoie was an undergraduate student at the University of New Hampshire. She graduated in 1972 and moved to Indiana University Bloomington, where she worked toward a master's degree in microbiology. Lavoie joined the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle for doctoral research, where she investigated the decomposition of cave rat dung. Thérèse Lavoie-Roux (March 12, 1928 – January 31, 2009) was a Canadian politician and social worker who served in the National Assembly of Quebec and the Senate of Canada. She was the Minister of Health and Social Services from 1985 to 1989. Early life Lavoie-Roux was born on March 12, 1928 in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, the daughter of Lauréat Lavoie and Charlotte Dubé. She received her undergraduate degree in 1949, and her masters degree in social work from the University of Montreal. She became a social worker and therapist at the Montreal Children's Hospital from 1951 to 1960. She served on a number of boards, including the Home Care Services for the Mentally Disturbed. Patrick Lavoie (born October 19, 1987) is a Canadian football fullback who is a free agent. He most recently played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Lieutenant-General Omer Lavoie, CMM, MSC, CD was a senior officer in the Canadian Army and the Canadian Armed Forces. He was the commander of the 4th Canadian Division until the summer of 2014. He was promoted to major general in January 2016, and appointed commander of 1st Canadian Division.
