Lava Hay
Lava Hay were a Canadian folk rock duo formed in 1989 in Toronto, Ontario, consisting of Suzanne Little and Michele Gould. Little and Gould first met in 1986, while working at '' Now''.Michael Barclay, Ian A.D. Jack and Jason Schneider, '' Have Not Been the Same: The Can-Rock Renaissance 1985-1995''. ECW Press. . In 1989 they recorded an album together with the intention of distributing it independently, but it soon came to the attention of Nettwerk. The duo signed to Nettwerk and remixed the album, bringing in members of The Grapes of Wrath, Bob Wiseman and The Water Walk for guest appearances. That album was released as ''Lava Hay'' in 1990. Nettwerk Music Group is the umbrella company for Nettwerk Records, Nettwerk Management, and Nettwerk One Publishing. Established in 1984, the Vancouver-based company was created by Nettwerk principals Terry McBride and Mark Jowett as a record label to distribute recordings by the band Moev, but the label expanded in Canada and internationally. Chrissie Hynde
Christine Ellen Hynde (born September 7, 1951) is an American musician. She is a founding member and the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the rock band the Pretenders, and one of the band's two remaining original members alongside drummer Martin Chambers. Hynde formed the Pretenders in Hereford, England in 1978, with Pete Farndon, James Honeyman-Scott and Chambers. She has also recorded a number of songs with other musicians including Frank Sinatra, Cher and UB40. She recorded her first solo album, ''Stockholm'', in 2014. ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''. Early life

Jones was born to parents Leslie and Patricia Jones (née Smith), originally from Corby, England. The family moved to Canada after Leslie was offered a job in the country. He also has two sisters, Clare and Michelle.

Career

Jones joined The Grapes of Wrath in 1990, and played keyboard with the band for some time. When Kevin Kane left the band, the remaining members, Jones, Tom Hooper and Chris Hooper, continued to perform under the name Ginger.
