Laurenz Forer
Laurenz Forer (1580 – 7 January 1659) was a Swiss Jesuit theologian and controversialist. Life He was born at Lucerne, entered the Society of Jesus at the age of twenty, in Landshut, and made part of his studies under Paul Laymann and Adam Tanner. He taught philosophy at Ingolstadt (1615–1619), and theology, moral and controversial, for six years at Dillingen. In the latter institution he held also the office of chancellor for several years. He spent the years 1632–1643 in Tyrol, where he had withdrawn with Heinrich von Knöringen, Bishop of Augsburg, on account of the inroads of the Swedes. Forer visited Rome (1645–1646) as the representative of the province of Upper Germany in the eighth congregation. He became rector of the college of Lucerne in 1650. He died at Ratisbon. Laurenz Meyer (born 15 February 1948) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union or CDU. From 2000 to 2004, he was General Secretary of the CDU. Early life and education Meyer was born in Salzkotten, North Rhine-Westphalia. After his '' Abitur'' (school-leaving) examinations in 1968, he completed a course of study in economics at the University of Münster, leaving in 1975 as a qualified economist. He was then employed at Vereinigte Elektrizitätswerke Westfalen, or VEW AG (which was later taken over by the RWE group) in Dortmund. Career Party Meyer has been a member of the CDU since 1968. From 1997 to 2001, he was State Treasurer of the CDU in North Rhine-Westphalia. Pedro Laurenz
Pedro Laurenz (born Pedro Blanco Acosta) was a bandoneon player, director and composer of Argentine tango music. He was born on October 10, 1902, and died on July 7, 1972. Pedro was born into a musical family in the La Boca neighbourhood of Buenos Aires and later moving to Uruguay, where he was attracted to the bandoneón. He made his début in Buenos Aires at the age of twenty, playing with Julio De Caro’s orchestra, in duet with Pedro Mafia known as ''Los dos Pedritos''. He formed his own orchestra in 1934 at the bar ''Los treinta y seis billares''.
