Lauren Moyer (born May 13, 1995) is an American field hockey player for the American national team. Moyer was raised to the United States national team in 2017, following success in the national junior team. Career College Attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2013 - 2017. The Tar Heels won 1 ACC Championship title in 2015 At UNC, Named to the All-ACC First Team, All-ACC Tournament Team, NCAA Division I All-Tournament Team, Longstreth/NFHCA All-South Region First Team, Named a Longstreth/NFHCA All-American. 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup
The 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup was the 14th edition of the Women's Hockey World Cup, a field hockey tournament. It was held from 21 July to 5 August 2018 at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in London, England. Defending champions the Netherlands won the tournament for an eighth time after defeating Ireland 6–0 in the final, who claimed their first World Cup medal. Spain won the third place match by defeating Australia 3–1 to claim their first World Cup medal as well. Bidding In March 2013, one month after the FIH published the Event Assignment Process Document for the 2014–2018 cycle, Australia, Belgium, England and New Zealand were shortlisted as candidates for hosting the event and were demanded to submit bidding documentation, requirement that eventually Belgium did not meet. Women's FIH Pro League
The Women's FIH Pro League is an international women's field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), which replaces the Women's FIH Hockey World League. The competition also serves as a qualifier for the Hockey World Cup and the Olympic Games. The first edition was started in 2019. Nine teams secured their places for four years. Format Nine teams will compete in a round-robin tournament with home and away matches, played from January to June, with the top four teams advancing to the grand final at a pre-determined location. The Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, formerly known as the Women's Hockey Junior World Cup, is the field hockey Junior World Cup competition for women, with the format for qualification and the final tournament similar to the men's. It is organized by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and has been played since 1989. The tournament features players who are under 21 years of age and is held once every two years. Four teams have dominated in past events. Netherlands is the most successful team, having won the tournament four times, this followed by Korea and Argentina. Germany have won the tournament once.
