Lauren Gibbemeyer
Lauren Gibbemeyer (born September 8, 1988) is an American indoor volleyball player. She was a member of the United States women's national volleyball team and plays as middle blocker. Career She played college women's volleyball at University of Minnesota from 2007 to 2010. Gibbemeyer was part of the USA national team that won the 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix gold medal. Lauren Gibbemeyer's early career started with Northern Lights Volleyball Club. In these years she won the 2006 North American Junior Championship. From 2007 to 2010 she played for the University of Minnesota, taking part in the Austin 2009 semifinals against the University of Texas. In 2011, after college she was asked to play for the national team for the first time. She won the bronze medal at the 16th Pan American Games, where she was awarded Best block. 2012 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup
The 2012 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the eleventh edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, played by twelve countries in July 2012 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, after Lima, Peru, withdrew from hosting it. The Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup is a Continental Cup organized by NORCECA with teams from all over America ( North-, South- and Central America, and the Caribbean), that served as a qualifier for the World Grand Prix. The tournament also granted places for the Final Four Women's Volleyball Cup. Now, the event serves as an America qualifier for the Pan American Games classification. The 2011 Pan American Games, officially the XVI Pan American Games, was an international multi-sport event that was held from October 14–30, 2011, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Some events were held in the nearby cities of Ciudad Guzmán, Puerto Vallarta, Lagos de Moreno and Tapalpa. The Pan American Games (also known colloquially as the Pan Am Games) is a continental multi-sport event in the Americas featuring summer sports, in which thousands of athletes participate in a variety of competitions. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League, a new annual international women's volleyball tournament contested by 16 national teams that replaced the former World Grand Prix in the international calendar. The competition was held between May and July 2018, and the final round took place in the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre, Nanjing, China. Six-time World Grand Prix winners, United States won the inaugural edition, defeating Turkey in five sets on the final. FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The first tournament took place between May and July 2018, with the final taking place in Nanjing, China. United States won the inaugural edition, defeating Turkey in the final. In July 2018, the FIVB announced that China would host the next three editions of the women's Volleyball Nations League Finals, from 2019–2021, but on March 13, 2020 the FIVB decided to postpone the Nations League until after the 2020 Summer Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
