It is located west of Centerville, at an elevation of 292 feet (89 m). Centerville, North Carolina
Centerville is a census-designated place (CDP) in the rural northeastern corner of Franklin County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 149 at the 2020 census. It was an incorporated town from 1965 to 2017. There is not a post office in Centerville, and thus no zip code; it simply uses that of Louisburg, which is located west. Centerville is centered on "the crossroads", which is the intersection of NC-561 and NC-58 and the site of two small old-fashioned general stores. Centerville has a church, (Centerville Baptist Church, a member of the Southern Baptist Convention), and volunteer fire department. There is not a police department, so Centerville, like the surrounding unincorporated area, is patrolled by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. Speed Farm is a historic farm complex and national historic district located near Gupton, Franklin County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 14 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, and 5 contributing structures. The farmhouse was built about 1847 and remodelled to its current configuration in 1900. It is a two-story, three bay, I-house style frame dwelling. It has a gable roof and an almost full-width front porch.
