Briançon (, ) is the sole subprefecture of the Hautes-Alpes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. The defending world champions were Finland's Riitta-Liisa Roponen and Virpi Kuitunen. Kuitunen defended her title with Aino-Kaisa Saarinen.
