Laura Thielen
Laura H. Thielen (born March 25, 1961) is an American politician and was a Democratic member of the Hawaii Senate from 2012 to 2020 representing District 25. Thielen served as chair of the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources from 2007 to 2010 under Governor Linda Lingle. Education Thielen earned her BA in political science from University of Colorado and her JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. The Hawaii State Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Hawaii. Linda Lingle
Linda Lingle (''née'' Cutter; June 4, 1953) is an American politician, who was the sixth governor of Hawaii from 2002 until 2010. She was the first Republican governor of Hawaii since 1962. Lingle was also the state's first female and first Jewish governor. Prior to serving as governor, Lingle served as Maui County mayor, council member, and chair of the Hawaii Republican Party. During the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City, Lingle served as chair of the convention during the absence of permanent chair Dennis Hastert from the convention floor. Fred Hemmings (born January 9, 1946) is an American surfer, author, businessman, and politician. Born and raised in Hawaii, Fred Hemmings attended Punahou school where he was co- captain of the Honolulu league championship football team in 1964. Hemmings won the Makaha International Surfing Championships,(2x senior and 2x junior) the Peruvian Championships and won the World Surfing championship (Puerto Rico 1968).
