Laura Shavin
Laura Helen Shavin (born 23 December 1965, in Islington, London) is a British actress, voice over artist, presenter, narrator and comedian. Career Shavin has worked as a minor television actress and voice-over artist, as well as performing on Radio 4 comedy programmes. In particular, she was a regular performer on ''The Now Show'' for several years. In 1990, Shavin played Stephanie, the daughter of Daisy and Onslow, in ''Keeping Up Appearances'' in the episode "The Christening". She presented a Saturday evening radio show between 17:00 and 18:00 on BBC Essex, between 10 May and 2 August 2014 and recommencing on 9 May until 1 August 2015. BBC Radio 4 is a British national radio station owned and operated by the BBC that replaced the BBC Home Service in 1967. The Now Show
''The Now Show'' is a British radio comedy broadcast on BBC Radio 4, which satirises the week's news. The show is a mixture of stand-up, sketches and songs hosted by Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis. The show used to feature regular appearances by Jon Holmes, Laura Shavin (earlier series had Emma Kennedy, or occasionally Sue Perkins, for the female voices), a monologue by Marcus Brigstocke, and music by Mitch Benn, Pippa Evans or Adam Kay, but now features a much wider range of contributors. Most episodes will feature a special guest. Keeping Up Appearances
''Keeping Up Appearances'' is a British sitcom created and written by Roy Clarke. It originally aired on BBC1 from 1990 to 1995 with two specials airing in 1997 and 2008 on PBS. The central character is an eccentric and snobbish middle class social climber, Hyacinth Bucket (Patricia Routledge), who insists that her surname is pronounced "Bouquet". The show comprised five series and 44 episodes, four of which are Christmas specials. Production ended in 1995 after Routledge decided to move on to other projects. All episodes and the specials have since been released on DVD. The sitcom follows Hyacinth in her attempts to prove her social superiority, and to gain standing with those she considers upper class. BBC Essex is the BBC's local radio station serving the county of Essex. It broadcasts on FM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios on New London Road in Chelmsford. Jake Yapp
Jacob Yapp is a British comedian, composer, and writer. Career Yapp first came to prominence in the mid-1990s on Martin Kelner's radio shows on BBC North and Jazz FM playing the character Dame Dora Dale. The character would return to radio in 2006 on the award-winning BBC 7 show ''Pleased to Meet You''. Two new episodes were broadcast by BBC Radio 4 Extra over Christmas 2011. Yapp was a writer on the 1997-8 series ''TV Offal'', and wrote for Nuts TV in 2007.
