Laura Gonzales-Escallon
Laura Gonzalez Escallon (born 6 October 1990) is a professional golfer from Belgium who has played on the LPGA Tour and the Symetra Tour. Amateur career Gonzalez was a member of the Belgium National Team and won the 2008 Girls Amateur Championship. She represented Belgium at the Espirito Santo Trophy in 2008 and 2010, and the Continent of Europe at the 2009 Vagliano Trophy. She attended Purdue University from 2009 to 2013, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics. She played for the Purdue Boilermakers women's golf team and won four tournaments, and was named 2011–12 Big Ten Golfer of the Year. Gonzalez reached the quarterfinals of the 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur, eliminated by eventual champion and world's top-ranked amateur, Lydia Ko. 2016 Evian Championship
The 2016 Evian Championship was played 15–18 September at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France. It was the 23rd Evian Championship (the first nineteen were played as the Evian Masters), and the fifth as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. Chun In-gee won her first Evian and second major championship, four strokes ahead of runners-up Ryu So-yeon and Park Sung-hyun. Her 21-under-par score was a record for all women's majors. European Ladies' Team Championship
The European Ladies' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1959. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format Currently, the championship is contested by up to 20 teams, each of 6 players. The format consists of two rounds of strokeplay, out of which the five lowest scores from each team's six players will count each day. The total addition of the five lowest scores will constitute the team's score and determine the teams qualified for the last three rounds of matchplay. Only teams in contention for a medal will play a match format of two foursomes and five singles, while the other teams will play a one foursome and four singles match format. The European Girls' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women up to 18 organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1991. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1991 to 1999 and has been played annually since 1999. The Women's Open (originally known as the Women's British Open, and still widely referred to by that name outside the UK) is a women's major golf championships, major championship in Professional golf tours#Women's tours, women's professional golf. The Evian Championship
The Evian Championship, currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Amundi Evian Championship, is a women's professional golf tournament in France, played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains. It was originally held in June, moved to July in 2003, and moved again to September in 2013. It returned to a July date in 2019. Founded in 1994 on the Ladies European Tour (LET) as the Evian Masters, it is one of two major championships on the LET. Not originally a major on the LPGA Tour, it became an LPGA co-sanctioned event in 2000, which included a significant increase in purse size. The Women's PGA Championship (branded as the KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) is a women's professional golf tournament. First held in 1955, it is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour. The Chevron Championship is a professional women's golf tournament. An event on the LPGA Tour, it is one of the tour's five major championships, and has traditionally been the first of the season since its elevation to major status in 1983. Founded in 1972 by singer and actress Dinah Shore and Colgate-Palmolive chairman David Foster, it was played at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California from its inception through 2022. The PHC Classic was a tournament on the Symetra Tour, the LPGA's developmental tour. It was part of the Symetra Tour's schedule between 2015 and 2020. It was held at Brown Deer Park Golf Course in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, host venue for the PGA Tour's Greater Milwaukee Open. The 2020 tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ally Leigh Ewing (née McDonald; born October 25, 1992) is an American professional golfer and plays on the LPGA Tour. McDonald was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and grew up in Fulton, Mississippi. She played college golf at Mississippi State University where she won five events. She also won the Mississippi State Amateur twice and the North and South Women's Amateur. She played on the winning U.S. teams in the 2013 Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship and the 2014 Curtis Cup. McDonald turned professional after graduating from college in 2015.
