Laura Glitsos
Laura Glitsos (also known as Laura G) is a writer, academic and musician based in Perth, Western Australia. Glitsos continues as a performer and also works as an academic and lecturer at Curtin University and Edith Cowan University. Musical career Glitsos formed Purrvert with drummer Nicholas Jonsson (End of Fashion, The Panda Band, Eskimo Joe), Roderick Tompkins (The Deaf Jefferies), and Troy "Spud" Anthony, in late 1999. Purrvert gigged the Perth local circuit from 2000 to 2004, until Glitsos moved to Paris to work on the first English speaking radio station in the city, Paris Live Radio. Purrvert released two EPs entitled ''Tale Spinners'' and ''Weapons of Mass Production''. Purrvert toured regionally, in Bunbury and Margaret River, and nationally, playing at St. Kilda's Espy Hotel with Dylan Lewis' alternative funk band Brown Hornet. Rachel Claudio is a singer/songwriter, DJ, and live performing musical artist from Perth, Australia. Early life Claudio was born and raised in Perth with an Italian heritage. After establishing herself as a DJ in Perth she moved to Paris, aged around 23. She performs her music by singing, sampling and mixing live while manipulating an array of musical production technology. The Amenta
The Amenta are an Australian Heavy metal music, metal band formed in 1997 as Crucible of Agony. By 2002 the line-up was Cesium 137 (aka Mark Bevan) on lead vocals, Diazanon (Dave Haley) on drums, Ethion (Erik Miehs) on guitar, Endrin (Nathan Jenkins) on bass guitar and Chlordane (Timothy Pope) on keyboards. In 2009 the line-up had Miehs and Pope joined by Laura Glitsos, Cain Cressall on vocals, Dan Quinlan on bass guitar and Robin Stone on drums. The group has issued three studio albums, ''Occasus'' (2004), ''n0n'' (2008), and ''Flesh Is Heir'' (2013). The group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2013, but reunited in 2020. Wayne Richard Wells (November 4, 1965 – November 1, 2014), known professionally as Wayne Static, was an American musician, best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist, and primary lyricist for metal band Static-X. He released his only solo studio album, ''Pighammer'', on October 4, 2011. Static was recognizable for his unusual hairstyle; his hair was held up in a vertical position, a process that took about 20 minutes to complete (45 minutes, according to his mother). Rebecca Louise "Bex" Chilcott, known professionally as Ruby Boots, (born October 20, 1981) is an Australian singer-songwriter who sings country and americana music. Early life and education Boots was born in Perth, Western Australia, and lived in the suburbs of Balga and Girrawheen. She is of Scottish and Italian descent. At the age of 13 years old, Boots moved out of her mother's house, then lived with her father and various friends before living independently at the age of 16 years old.
