Laura Basuki
Laura Basuki (born 9 January 1988) is an Indonesian model and actress of mixed Javanese, Chinese and Vietnamese descent. Early life Basuki was born in Berlin on 9 January 1988 to an Indonesian-Chinese dad and a Vietnamese mom. As a teenager, she intended to be a doctor. However, her mother pressured her into becoming a model. The tall Basuki, who weighed , enrolled at the OQ Modeling School in 2005. Career Her first modelling job was at a bridal pageant showing the works of Bijan Wanaatmadja. This was followed by spots marketing products including Coca-Cola and Vaseline. As the modelling work kept her too busy to study medicine, Basuki began studying economics. In 2008, Basuki was cast in her first role, ''Gara-Gara Bola'' (''Because of Football''), after the producer Nia Dinata saw Basuki's face in a magazine. West Berlin ( or , ) was a political enclave which comprised the western part of Berlin from 1948 until 1990, during the Cold War. The Berlin International Film Festival (), usually called the Berlinale (), is an annual film festival held in Berlin, Germany. 72nd Berlin International Film Festival
The 72nd annual Berlin International Film Festival, usually called the Berlinale (), took place from 10 to 20 February 2022 in person. On 15 December 2021, the first film of the festival was announced. The festival opened with François Ozon's drama film '' Peter von Kant''. Isabelle Huppert was awarded Honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement on 15 February 2022 at the Berlinale Palast award ceremony. Her new film by Laurent Larivière, '' About Joan'' was also screened. The awards were presented on 16 February 2022 truncating the festival by 4 days. Kamila Andini (born 6 May 1986) is an Indonesian film director known for her critically acclaimed debut, '' The Mirror Never Lies''. Biography Andini was born on 6 May 1986 and is the eldest daughter of filmmaker Garin Nugroho. Although uninterested in cinematography for fear that she would be "work ngin her father's shadow", she began studying photography while still in junior high school, hoping to "capture people's life and behavior". While in senior high school her classmates often asked her father about film making, questions which Andini later said "ashamed" her because she knew nothing of her father's oeuvre.
