Laughter Chilembe
Laughter Chilembe (born 25 November 1975) is a former Zambian international footballer. Club career Chilembe began his senior career in 1998 with Nchanga Rangers before signing for Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League club CAPS United. On Chilembe's return to Zambia, he re-signed for Nchanga Rangers in 2006. Chilembe later signed for Power Dynamos, staying at the club for three seasons. In 2012, Chilembe signed for NAPSA Stars, seeing out his career at the club in 2016. International career Chilembe represented Zambia at the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations. In the sport of association football, a defender is an outfield position whose primary role is to stop attacks during the game and prevent the opposition from scoring. According to records from the RSSSF, there were many association football cup competitions organized in Zambia since 1962, some of which are the Independence Cup, the Zambian Challenge Cup (both organized in 1961), the Champion of Champions Cup (organized in 1974) and Zambian Coca-Cola Cup, the latter which began in 2001. These competitions are either inactive or were played no more as of 2009. Independence Cup The Northern Rhodesia Castle Cup, rebranded two years later as the Independence Cup due to the independence of Zambia, was launched in 1962 by the Football Association of Zambia as the top knockout tournament in Zambian football. The Cup of Zimbabwe (most recently known as the CBZ FA Cup due to sponsorship) is the top knockout tournament of the Zimbabwean football. It was created in 1962 as the Cup of Southern Rhodesia and was known between 1965 and 1980 as the Cup of Rhodesia. Due to sponsorship, the competition has undergone a number of name changes: from its creation in 1962 until 1998, the cup was known as the Castle Cup, after its sponsor, the Johannesburg-based Castle Lager.
