André Laug is an Italian fashion house founded in 1968 by the eponymous French designer. History Founding The company was founded in 1968 when André Laug (Alsace, 29 December 1931 – Rome, 16 December 1984), a French designer trained in Paris by André Courrèges and Nina Ricci (designer), Nina Ricci, opened his couture house in Rome, Piazza di Spagna, with the help of Susy Gandini. 1969–1978 In 1969 Laug concluded the first agreements with foreign buyers, including Elizabeth Arden, Inc., Elizabeth Arden, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue and Martha Phillips, who introduced the brand in the United States market. Matt Laug
Matt Laug (born March 17, 1968) is an American drummer who has played with many bands/artists such as Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper, Slash's Snakepit and Vasco Rossi. Matt moved to Los Angeles after graduating from South Florence High School in 1986 and after attending college in LA, Matt became a sought after studio drummer. Along with a long list of many other rock artists, Matt played drums on Alanis Morissette's June 1995 album, ''Jagged Little Pill'', which sold over 16 million copies and was the number one album on the US Billboard 200 for the decade 1990-1999. He also played drums as a part of Steve Plunkett's reformed Autograph line-up from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, Matt Laug joined Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in his side band known as The Dirty Knobs, and the band since has played occasional shows for the next 15 years in between Heartbreakers shows in Los Angeles. Mexico (also known as ''Masiku''), officially the Municipality of Mexico ( pam, Balen ning Mexico; tl, Bayan ng Mexico), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Pampanga, the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 173,403 people. It was also formerly known as Nuevo México during the Spanish period. History According to folk etymology, the original pre-Hispanic name of the village was purportedly ''Masicu'' or ''Maca-sicu'', which the Spaniards spelled as "México". It is claimed that this was a reference to an abundance of '' chico'' trees. However ''chico'' trees are not endemic to the Philippines and were introduced by the Spaniards from what is now Mexico (Country). Another claim is that it is derived from ''siku'' ("elbow") and was a reference to the elbow-shaped bends of the nearby Abacan and Pampanga Rivers.
