Latin Grammy Award For Best Arrangement
The Latin Grammy Award for Best Arrangement is an honor presented annually at the Latin Grammy Awards, a ceremony that recognizes excellence and promotes awareness of cultural diversity and contributions of Latin recording artists in the United States and internationally. It was first awarded at the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2018 with Colombian pianist and composer Milton Salcedo being the first recipient of the award for "Se Le Ve", performed by himself alongside Amaury Gutiérrez, Carlos Oliva and Michel Puche, with colombian singer Andres Buitrago as vocal coach and director. The award goes to the arranger(s). An arranger should not be entered more than twice in the Best Arrangement category, whether for instrumental or vocal arrangement (a Capella) included, if the artist is the same. Melody Gardot
Melody Gardot (; born February 2, 1985) is an American jazz singer. At the age of 19, Gardot was involved in a bicycle accident and sustained a head injury. Music played a critical role in her recovery. She became an advocate of music therapy, visiting hospitals and universities to discuss its benefits. In 2012, she gave her name to a music therapy program in New Jersey. Early life and education Gardot was born in New Jersey and was brought up by her grandparents. The Metropole Orkest (Metropole Orchestra) is a jazz and pop orchestra based in the Netherlands, and is the largest full-time ensemble of its kind in the world. A hybrid orchestra, it is a combination of jazz, big band and symphony orchestra. John Rule Beasley (born October 10, 1960), better known as John Beasley, is a jazz pianist, bandleader, and producer of music for film and television. Career He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and grew up in Texas in a family of musicians. His grandfather, Rule Oliver, trombonist, for 50 years was a junior high school band director in Arkansas; his father, Rule Curtis Beasley, music educator, in 1963 won 1st prize in Composition at the Southeastern Composers League in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; his mother, Lida Beasley, brass instrumentalist, was a band director, conducted operas and taught music in various public schools and colleges.
