Latin American Music Award
The Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) is an annual American music awards show produced by the MRC (company), MRC Live and Alternative. It is the Spanish-language counterpart of the American Music Awards (AMAs). As with AMAs, the Latin AMAs are determined by a poll of the public and music buyers and is produced by SOMOS Productions. The first Latin AMAs debuted on October 8, 2015 on Telemundo and was hosted by Lucero (entertainer), Lucero. The awards were not held in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, they resumed a year later. In 2023, the broadcast will be moved from Telemundo to UniMás. Geoffrey Royce Rojas (born May 11, 1989), known professionally as Prince Royce, is an American singer. At an early age, Royce took an interest in music, and in his teenage years began experimenting with music and writing poetry. By age nineteen, Royce met Andrés Hidalgo, who became his manager. Hidalgo later introduced Royce to record producer Sergio George, who immediately signed him to his label after hearing three of his demos. La Santa Cecilia is an American band based in Los Angeles, California that plays a blend of cumbia, bossa nova, and boleros, among other styles. Baby Rasta & Gringo is a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo formed in 1988 in Las Monjas, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico.
