Lasbela Bridge (Karachi)
Lasbela bridge ( Urdu:پل لسبيله ) is located in Lasbela neighborhood of Liaquatabad Town, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. The Lasbela bridge is over Lyari River and one of the most important bridges in Karachi. Jam of Lasbela ( ur, والي رياست لسبيله ) was ruler of Las Bela State in Balochistan of Pakistan. Jam of Lasbela had one of his official residence or consulate near the Lyari River before independence of Pakistan. The area got associated with Jam of Lasbela and was known as Lasbela. The newly built bridge in the area over the Lyari River came to be known as Lasbela bridge. Napier Mole Bridge
Native Jetty Bridge, also known as Napier Mole Bridge, is a bridge located in Karachi, Sindh which connects the city with the Port of Karachi. It is one of the oldest bridges in Karachi. History The modern port started its operations in 1854 during the British Raj, when a mole was constructed to connect city to the harbour. After few years Native Jetty Bridge was built with other important bridges in the area. Due to increased traffic congestion, a new wider bridge, Jinnah Bridge, was constructed and replaced the old one. Today, the old bridge has been converted to a Food Street and named as Port Grand Food and Entertainment Complex. Teen Hatti Bridge
Teen Hatti is a bridge over the Lyari River in Karachi, Pakistan. The origin of its name is uncertain, but the prevalent opinion is that long ago there were three roadside houses (in Goan "Hatti" means house) at or near the current bridge, hence the name "teen" (meaning "three" in Urdu) and "hatti" (meaning roadside houses in Urdu). According to another version, "Hatti" is a Punjabi word meaning "shop", not "house". Long ago old people said there were three shops.
