Alexander Vidal Larín Hernández (born 27 June 1992) is a Salvadoran professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Primera División club Alianza and the El Salvador national team. Rafael Menjívar Larín (January 3, 1935 - August 7, 2000) was a Salvadoran economist and politician. An outspoken left-wing critical of the Somoza dictatorship, he was director of the University of El Salvador before being thrown into jail and forced abroad into exile. Early life Born in Santa Ana, El Salvador, Larín was the son of a chauffeur and a housewife, and studied economic sciences in the University of El Salvador between 1956 and 1962. In 1963, at 28 years of age, he graduated as a doctor specialising in the agricultural economy, and almost immediately he was elected dean of the Faculty of Economy. Larin Paraske (December 27, 1833 – January 3, 1904) was an Izhorian oral poet. She is considered a key figure in Finnish folk poetry and has been called the "Finnish Mnemosyne". Her frequent listeners included several romantic nationalist artists, such as Jean Sibelius, seeking inspiration from her interpretations of ''Kalevala'', an epic poem compiled from Finnish folklore by Elias Lönnrot. Paraske could recite over 32,000 verses of poetry, which made her an important source for Karelian culture. Her poems were written down by Adolf Neovius in the 1880s, and after several years of work, approximately 1200 poems, 1750 proverbs and 336 riddles were documented, along with several Finnic lamentations known as ''itkuvirsi'', performed by crying and sobbing. Early life and prewar service A Russian, Vasily Mikhailovich Larin was born on 20 June 1908 in the village of Bolgarka, Kherson Governorate. Choosing a military career, he entered the Odessa Infantry School as a cadet on 19 September 1928. After graduation from the school in 1931, he was appointed a platoon commander in the 12th Rifle Regiment of the 4th Rifle Division of the Belorussian Military District. Larin-Kyösti
Karl Gustaf Larson (5 June 1873 – 2 December 1948), better known as Larin-Kyösti, was a Finland, Finnish poet. Many of his poems have been set to music by Yrjö Kilpinen or by Jean Sibelius (e.g. ''Kaiutar'', op. 72 no. 4). Biography Larson was born in Hämeenlinna, Finland. His parents, Gustaf Israel Larson and Sofia Vilhelmina Skog, were both born in Sweden. His father, who operated a restaurant, committed suicide in 1884. Larson started a course of study at the University of Helsinki in 1895. In 1897, he published his first collection of poems, derived from Finnish folk life and nature. Larin-Kyösti's depression was often reflected in his writing. In 1906, he attempted suicide on his way to Italy and was sent to a mental hospital in Florence. He remained a lifetime bachelor.
