Lars Oostveen (born 6 September 1976 in Heiloo, Netherlands), also known by his pseudonym Lawrence Ray, is a Dutch presenter, producer and actor. He is best known for his stint as a VJ at MTV Europe, and his role as Vico Maesland in the Dutch TV series '' Lotte''. Biography After high school, Oostveen studied International Management at the HEAO and attended an acting course at the Mountview Theatre School in London. Heiloo () is a municipality and town in the Netherlands, located in the province of North Holland. The community is part of the cooperation region Kennemerland and is located in the historical region of West Friesland. Heiloo had a population of in . ''Lotte'' is a Dutch telenovela television series. The series was broadcast by the commercial station Tien, upon which it was shown every weekday at 6:30 pm. The series is based on the Colombian telenovela ''Yo soy Betty, la fea'' and centres on the protagonist, ''Lotte Pronk'', a business economics graduate who passed with honours and has trouble finding a job until she comes across a secretary job in an international fashion company called "Emoda", where at the same time a conflict is occurring in the business between two prospective CEOs. It is considered Mulisch's masterpiece and was voted best book in the Dutch language in a 2007 poll among the readers of '' NRC Handelsblad''.
