Lars Olsen Aukrust
Lars Olsen Aukrust (2 October 1886 – 10 January 1965) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Agrarian Party. He was born at Aukrust in Lom as a son of farmers Olav Olsen Aukrust (1851–1931) and Marit Paalsdatter Andvord (1864–1936). He took education at Storhove Agricultural School in 1907 and the Norwegian College of Agriculture in 1911. He was a teacher at Østfold Folk High School from 1911 to 1913, county agronomist in Nordre Østerdalen from 1914 to 1917 and manager of Storteigen Agricultural School in Alvdal from 1918 to 1945. He was a consultant for the Royal Norwegian Society of Development from 1917 to 1918, later a board member from 1934 to 1945. He also chaired the Norwegian Agrarian Association branch in Alvdal, and was a national board member. When the Agrarian Party was created out of the Agrarian Association, Aukrust stood for parliamentary election in 1921. Kjell Aukrust
Kjell Aukrust (19 March 1920 – 24 December 2002) was a Norwegian author, poet, artist and humorist. Aukrust is principally known for his Flåklypa stories and Flåklypa drawings. Personal life Aukrust was born in Alvdal in Hedmark, Norway as a son of Lars Olsen Aukrust (1886–1965) and Louise Walmsnæss (1887–1973). His father was rector at Storsteigen Agricultural School in Alvdal. He was a nephew of poet Olav Aukrust, brother of Odd Aukrust, a noted economist who was responsible for research at Statistics Norway. He was married to Kari Holter in 1947. He trained at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry 1938–42. In 1939, one of his drawings was accepted at the Autumn Exhibition in Oslo. His memoirs of his childhood in Alvdal appeared in the series of three books: ''Simen'', ''Bonden'' and ''Bror Min'' published in 1958, 1964 and 1960. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957. Odd Aukrust
Odd Aukrust (15 December 1915 – 22 June 2008) was a Norwegian economist. He was born in Tynset as a son of Lars Olsen Aukrust (1886–1965) and Louise Walmsnæss (1887–1973). He was a nephew of Olav Aukrust, brother of Kjell Aukrust, and first cousin of Tor Aukrust. He was married to Bjørg Marie Hessbak since 1945. He studied political economy at the University of Oslo under Ragnar Frisch, and graduated in 1941. He was influenced by Keynesian economics. He published the notable analysis ''Hva krigen kostet Norge'' with Petter Jakob Bjerve in 1945, and took the dr.oecon. degree in 1956. From 1953 to 1984 he was director of research at the Statistics Norway bureau. He died in Kolbotn Kolbotn is an urban area in Norway's Nordre Follo county.
