Lars Thomas "Lasse" Nilsson (born 3 January 1982) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a forward. Best remembered for his time with IF Elfsborg, he also represented clubs in the Netherlands, France, and Denmark. He won two caps for the Sweden national team. Club career Nilsson played for IK Brage, IF Elfsborg, sc Heerenveen, Aalborg Boldspilklub and AS Saint-Étienne. In 2007, Nilsson was loaned to Elfsborg from SC Heerenveen. Nilsson signed for Saint-Étienne on 8 August 2007, after leaving Heerenveen, in a four-year deal worth up to €3 million. In January 2009 he moved to Vitesse Arnhem on loan, a move which became permanent when he signed a three-year deal in June 2009. Lars Nilsson (born 1966) is a Swedish fashion designer and member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America who has worked with fashion houses, including Christian Lacroix, Balmain, Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, Bill Blass, Nina Ricci and his own menswear line, Mr. Nils. Career Fashion Lars Nilsson graduated from both Virginska Skolan in Sweden and Paris’ Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture. Following fashion school Nilsson held an apprenticeship at the tailoring atelier of Chanel haute couture before joining the fashion house Christian Lacroix. Lars Nilsson (died 1693) was a Sami who was burned at the stake for being a follower of the old Sami religion in Arjeplog in Sweden during the time of the Christianization of the Sámi people. Background In 1691, the authorities of the church and state sent a couple of Christian Sami to investigate a case of suspicious sorcery of the Sami Lars Nilsson. When they returned, they reported to the priest Pehr Noraeus. They reported, that they had seen Lars singing and drumming on his knees in front of the wooden icons of the Sami gods outside his tent for his grandson, who the same day had drowned in a well, in the purpose of giving him his life back. The Christian Sami had told him to stop with his "Devilish" activity and took the drum away from him with force.
