Larry Dale Ray (March 11, 1958 – July 22, 2023) was an American Major League Baseball right fielder. Drafted by the Astros in the 4th round of the 1979 amateur draft, Ray played for the Houston Astros The Houston Astros are an American professional baseball team based in Houston, Texas. In baseball, a pinch hitter is a substitute Batting (baseball), batter. Batters can be substituted at any time while the dead ball (baseball), ball is dead (not in active play); the manager (baseball), manager may use any player who has not yet entered the game as a substitute.
