Larry Pack
Larry Pack (born November 9, 1957) is an American politician, accountant, and businessman who has served as West Virginia's acting Secretary of Revenue since December 2023. He was elected as a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates as a Republican in 2020 and served until his resignation in 2022. After his resignation, Pack worked as a senior advisor to Jim Justice until his appointment as Revenue Secretary. Early life and education Pack was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the West Virginia University Institute of Technology. Career From 1979 to 1991, Pack worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Herman & Company. From 1991 to 2009, he was the co-founder and partner of Pack Lambert & Burdette. West Virginia Republican Party
The West Virginia Republican Party is the affiliate of the United States Republican Party in West Virginia. Mark Harris is the party chair. It is currently the dominant party in the state, controlling all three of West Virginia's U.S. House seats, one of the U.S. Senate seats, both houses of the state legislature, and the governorship. History The Republican Party arose in 1854. The Democratic Party was an advocate of slavery and the Republican Party opposed it. There was a lot of turmoil in Virginia with the rise of the Republican Party. When the American Civil War reached Western Virginia, there was a rise in violence against those who opposed slavery. South Charleston is a city in Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States. It is located to the west of Charleston. The population was 13,639 at the 2020 census. South Charleston was established in 1906, but not incorporated until 1917. The Criel Mound built circa 0 B.C. by the Adena culture is adjacent to the downtown business district. It is home to the Charleston Ordnance Center, a former naval munitions factory established for use in World War I.
