Larry Cohler-Esses is an American journalist and political writer. He has worked for the Jewish magazine the Forward. He is married to Dianne Cohler-Esses. Career He joined the staff of the Forward in December 2008. Previously, he served as Editor-at-Large for the Jewish Week ''The Jewish Week'' is a weekly independent community newspaper targeted towards the Jewish community of the metropolitan New York City area. ''The Jewish Week'' covers news relating to the Jewish community in NYC. ''The Forward'' ( yi, פֿאָרווערטס, Forverts), formerly known as ''The Jewish Daily Forward'', is an American news media organization for a Jewish American audience. Founded in 1897 as a Yiddish-language daily socialist newspaper, ''The New York Times'' reported that Seth Lipsky "started an English-language offshoot of the Yiddish-language newspaper" as a weekly newspaper in 1990. In the 21st century ''The Forward'' is a digital publication with online reporting. In 2016, the publication of the Yiddish version changed its print format from a biweekly newspaper to a monthly magazine; the English weekly paper followed suit in 2017. Dianne Cohler-Esses
Dianne Cohler-Esses, who grew up in New York, is the first Syrian-Jewish woman to become a rabbi. She was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 1995. She has since worked as an administrator and educator for many institutions including the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, the Bronfman youth fellowships, the Curriculum Initiative, and the UJA Federation. In 2012, the Jewish community organization Romemu chose her as its new education director. She is married to Larry Cohler-Esses, with whom she has three children: Ayelet, Elichai, and Shira. ''The Jewish Week'' is a weekly independent community newspaper targeted towards the Jewish community of the metropolitan New York City area. ''The Jewish Week'' covers news relating to the Jewish community in NYC. In March 2016, ''The Jewish Week'' announced its partnership with the online newspaper ''The Times of Israel''. Orly Azoulay
Orly Azoulay ( he, אורלי אזולאי, born 1953) is an Israeli-American journalist and political writer who works for Yedioth Ahronoth. Biography Orly Azoulay was born in Rishon Lezion in Israel. She began her career in journalism during her service in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) as a reporter during the Yom Kippur War. After her release from the army, she joined ''Yedioth Ahronoth ''and was its correspondent in Hasharon and Netanya. During this time, she wrote many articles about crime in Netanya. Azoulay was one of the only journalists prosecuted for judicial offenses. In 1978, she published a favorable article about a convicted criminal two days before the verdict.
