Edmund Larken
Edmund Roberts Larken (1809–1895) was an English cleric and Christian socialist, a patron of radical causes and author on social matters. Life Larken's father, Edmund Larken (1766–1831), worked for the East India Company. Larken matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford in 1829, graduating B.A. in 1833, and M.A. in 1836. He was ordained deacon in 1833, and priest in 1834. Frank Larken
Vice-Admiral Sir Frank Larken KCB CMG (15 November 1875 – 21 January 1953) was a Royal Navy officer who became Naval Secretary. Early life and education Larken was born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, the middle son of Eliza Larken and solicitor Francis Roper Larken. He was the grandson of Edmund Larken and brother of Hubert Larken, Archdeacon of Lincoln. In 1889, he entered HMS ''Britannia'' as a naval cadet. His desire to go to sea was encouraged by early experience boating with his brothers on Foss Dyke, he told a crowd in 1935: "I do not know that I showed any more aptitude for the sea then than they did, but one day, in a fishing boat at Filey, anchored off the Brig in a nasty swell with a cross tide, they were both very sick a good half-hour before I was. Encouraged by that, the prospect of brass buttons and the fact that midshipman received a salary, which afterwards turned out to mainly illusory, I welcomed the suggestion of my parents that 1 should follow a sea life." ...

Anthea Larken
Commandant Anthea Larken CBE (born 1938), who served as Director of the Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS) between 1988-1991, while also acting as aide-de-camp to Queen Elizabeth II. Larken has since served as president of the Not Forgotten Association and the Association of Wrens. In 1967, Larken became a secretarial officer, and in 1976 became the officer in charge of the WRNS officer training programme at the Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth, Devon. Hubert Larken
The Ven. Hubert Larken (15 March 1874 – 6 April 1964) was an Anglican priest, who served as Archdeacon of Lincoln from 1933 to 1937. Larken was born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, the son of Eliza Larken and Francis Roper Larken. He was the grandson of Edmund Larken and elder brother of Vice-Admiral Sir Frank Larken. He was educated at Charterhouse and Magdalen College, Oxford; and ordained in 1899.
