Lari Azad
Lari Azad (born 12 March 1959) is an Indian historian of medieval India. He is well known for his contribution to medieval Indian history and historiography. He has authored a number of books, including ''Religion and Politics in India during the Seventeenth Century''. Mohammad Akram Lari, (popularly known as Lari Azad), born in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, India, is among the best-known authors and poets in Hindi literature. He is also the founder of All India Poetess Conference. He wrote under the pen name "Lari Azad". His style is considered easy to understand, but has also been compared with high quality Hindi literature. Besides writing, he earns his living by teaching History in the historic NREC PG College, Khurja. He attained a unique position as a writer who wrote with equal facility in both Hindi and Urdu. Deoria, Uttar Pradesh
Deoria is a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is one of five tehsils of the Deoria district. Deoria is located 45 km east of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Gorakhpur and about 317 km from the state capital Lucknow. It shares its east border with Bihar. Demographics As of 2011 Indian Census, Deoria had a total population of 129,479, of which 67,462 were males and 62,017 were females. Population within the age group of 0 to 6 years was 14,779. The total number of literates in Deoria was 99,562, which constituted 76.9% of the population with male literacy of 81.1% and female literacy of 72.3%. Hari Shankar Srivastava
Hari Shanker Srivastava (1 January 1921 – 19 June 2017 ) was an Indian historian. He was educated at Ewing Christian College, Allahabad (1937–39), and Allahabad University (1939–43). He is a Fellow of Royal Asiatic Society and Fellow of the Institute of Historical Studies, Calcutta. He was the First Chairperson of Political Science Department, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur (1958–62). He also chaired as the head of History Department, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University for 21 years (1963–1984). He also served as a professor at the same university. He is best known for his work on Mughal culture and his books have been included in the syllabi of various state universities for the subject.
