Pavlo Serhiyovych Lapshyn (born 12 March 1988; Ukrainian Cyrillic: Павло Сергійович Лапшин) is a Ukraine, Ukrainian white supremacist terrorist who committed crimes in 2013 against Muslims in the United Kingdom. Lapshyn was given a life sentence, and will serve a minimum of 40 years, for a murder in Birmingham and three attempted bombings of mosques in the West Midlands (county), West Midlands. He confessed to police that his motivation was to kill and harm non-whites. Background Pavlo Lapshyn is from Dnipro, the son of Sergey Lapshyn, a university lecturer. Konstantin Lapshin (russian: Константи́н Лапши́н) is a London-based Russian - British pianist. He is a prize-winner in numerous international competitions. In 2009, Lapshin completed his Master of Music degree at the Royal College of Music following his full scholarship studies with Vanessa Latarche. While at the RCM, he received the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Rose Bowl, as the most distinguished student. As a result, he played for Prince Charles. Lapshin then went on to take the Artist Diploma in addition to being awarded the Mills Williams Junior Fellow. In the same year he was nominated for Rising Star and performed at Cadogan Hall in London. Mikhail Ivanovich Lapshin () (1 September 1934 – 17 June 2006) was the President of the Altai Republic in Russia from 2002 to 2006. Career Lapshin was born in Setovka, Altai Krai. He became President of the Altai Republic in January 2002. He defeated incumbent Semyon Zubakin in the December 2001 elections with 68% of the vote. In the first round of the elections, Lapshin and Zubakin were in a field of many candidates, and Lapshin received 23% of the vote. Lapshin survived an impeachment attempt in March 2005 by a vote of 22–14 in the state assembly. In December 2005, as his term was expiring, Lapshin was not renominated by President Vladimir Putin for another term, which was necessary for him to continue because of changes in the law.
