Mihály Lantos
Mihály Lantos (born ''Mihály Lendenmayer'', 29 September 1928 – 31 December 1989) was a Hungarian football player and manager. He played as a defender, spending the majority of his career at MTK Hungária FC. During the 1950s he was also a member of the Hungary team known as the ''Golden Team''. Other members of the team included Nándor Hidegkuti, Ferenc Puskás, Zoltán Czibor, Sándor Kocsis and József Bozsik. After retiring as a player Lantos worked as coach. Between 1965 and 1967 he was assistant coach to his former MTK manager, Márton Bukovi, at Olympiacos. He then returned to Hungary where he managed several teams including Videoton FC. Club career ;MTK Hungária FC Lantos began playing for MTK in 1948. Peter Lantos
Peter Laszlo Lantos (born 1939) is a British scientist and author of Hungarian Jewish origin, He was born in Makó in southeast Hungary. In 1944, when Peter was five, his family were deported to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp because of the Holocaust. At the concentration camp, the Nazis murdered his father through Extermination through labour, grueling forced labor. Peter and his mother were sent back to Hungary on a train that was meant to go to a death camp, meaning they were free from the Holocaust but 21 members of his family had died, including his older brother Gyuri, like him a talented mathematician. He completed his medical studies in Hungary before moving to the UK in 1968 for further education and research. Lantos decided to remain in the UK permanently and was sentenced to prison Trial in absentia, in absentia by the Hungarian authorities for his defection. Robert Lantos, Order of Canada, CM (born 3 April 1949) is a Hungarian-Canadian film producer. Life and career Lantos was born on 3 April 1949 in Budapest, the son of Ágnes (Bodor) and László Lantos, a mechanic and truck company owner. Lantos spent much of his childhood in Montevideo, Uruguay, where his family fled after the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. He immigrated to Canada in 1963. Lantos studied literature at McGill University in Montreal and graduated with a BA (1970) and an MA (1972). Following graduation from McGill, he founded Vivafilm which imported and distributed foreign films across Canada. He later started a production company, RSL Entertainment, which produced fifteen films, most notably George Kaczender's ''In Praise of Older Women (1978 film), In Praise of Older Women'' and Ted Kotcheff's ''Joshua Then and Now (film), Joshua Then and Now''. Tom Lantos
Thomas Peter Lantos (born Tamás Péter Lantos; February 1, 1928 – February 11, 2008) was a Holocaust survivor and American politician who served as a U.S. representative from California from 1981 until his death in 2008. A member of the Democratic Party, he represented the state's 11th congressional district until 1993 and from then the 12th congressional district, which both included the northern two-thirds of San Mateo County and a portion of the southwestern part of San Francisco after redistricting. Lantos, who served as Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee in his last term, announced in early January 2008 that he would not run for reelection because of cancer of the esophagus.
